I am a professor and mental health researcher and educator with over 15 years of experience. This course, #talkmentalillness, delves into the unprecedented mental health concerns of our current cultural moment, addressing the stigma surrounding mental illness, systemic inequality in mental health treatment, and the disproportionate impacts on marginalized communities.

Throughout the course, you will explore the causes and cutting-edge treatments for various psychological disorders, including anxiety and mood disorders, eating disorders, suicide, substance use, and psychosis. Additionally, you will gain insights into the relationship between racism and systemic inequality and mental health treatment, and learn how to apply the science of happiness to your own life.
