Pro Tools Basics offers a comprehensive journey through its 4 modules. Participants will learn to navigate the Pro Tools interface, work with MIDI and software instruments, record and manipulate audio, and explore mixing and mastering techniques.

Welcome to Pro Tools Basics!

Module 1 provides an introduction to Pro Tools Basics, including an overview of the interface, software requirements, and resources available for the course. This module sets the stage for participants to connect with their peers and establish their learning goals.

Diving In

Module 2 delves into the Pro Tools interface, MIDI, and software instrument tracks. Participants will learn to work from templates, organize sessions, and explore the fundamentals of Pro Tools, setting the stage for more advanced topics in subsequent modules.

Exploring MIDI and Software Instruments

Module 3 focuses on MIDI and software instruments, covering wave basics, synthesizers, samplers, MIDI manipulation, and automation. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of MIDI and software instrument functionalities within Pro Tools.

Recording and Manipulating Audio

Module 4 centers on recording and manipulating audio, guiding participants through importing, managing audio, tempo operations, playlists, and audio samples. This module also provides insights into the creative and technical aspects of recording and editing audio within Pro Tools.

Mixing and Mastering

Module 5 explores mixing and mastering, offering an overview of plugin effects, EQ, compression, reverb, and limiters. Participants will practice mixing and mastering while gaining a deeper understanding of audio processing and finalizing music productions within Pro Tools.
